The microcomputer interlock has brought great improvement to the working conditions of electric personnel with its advanced technology and high safety and reliability, and it has been welcomed by vehicle personnel due to its friendly man-machine interface. In the relay interlock, the operator faces the driving console with only light (indicating lamp) and sound (electric bell) output, which can express very simple information.

The console lamp circuit and button circuit are connected to the relay circuit through a large number of cables, which causes a lot of work for construction and maintenance. In the console subsystem of microcomputer interlock, the application of microcomputer technology has changed the appearance of the traditional console, the display information content is rich, and the operation means is flexible and diverse.

The composition of console subsystem of microcomputer interlock system includes: console microcomputer, station field display device, operation device for station watchman to handle operation, voice output and communication interface with other subsystems.

The microcomputer of the console acquires information about station signal equipment and entrance state from the interlock system through the communication interface, and output it to the station display device after processing for the station attendant to master the field state. The operator handles all kinds of operations on the operating device. After receiving the operation information from the console computer, the operator generates corresponding operation commands through processing, which are transmitted to the interlocking subsystem and the monitoring subsystem through the communication interface. The console microcomputer receives the operator's operation information, in addition to the corresponding operation prompt and alarm information output by text on the display device, at the same time by voice output.
